The Product Family

Nine interconnected services — each serving a distinct purpose, designed to work as one platform

The Microsoft Power Platform is a unified suite of low-code/no-code tools launched in 2018. It is not a single product — it is a family of deeply interconnected services, each serving a distinct purpose but designed to work together.

Key Insight: Everything Is Cloud-Native SaaS
Every component is a cloud-native service. You do not need to spin up VMs, manage servers, or deploy infrastructure for any of them. The only exceptions: Desktop Flows / RPA requires a Windows machine, and the On-Premises Data Gateway requires a Windows server to reach on-prem data.
